Most small items get a free bench assessment. We tell you what's wrong, what we'd do about it, and how much it would cost.
Component-level testing
Real test equipment - scopes, signal generators, ESR meters, thermal cameras. Faults pinpointed to the actual failed component, not a board.
Honest 'fix or scrap' advice
If a unit is genuinely beyond economic repair, we'll say so and explain why. No drag-out diagnostics designed to bill you.
'Other shops said no' specialty
Items written off elsewhere as un-fixable are often straightforward jobs for us. We've recovered countless devices declared dead.
Pre-purchase inspection
Considering a used amp, receiver or expensive bit of audio? Bring it in - we can do a quick assessment before you commit.

What counts as a 'small item' for free diagnostic?
Anything portable that we can bench-test in under an hour - typically earphones, headphones, small amplifiers, car ECUs, head units. Large/complex jobs may carry a small bench fee that's credited to the repair.
Will you tell me if it's not worth fixing?
Yes - we'd rather lose a job than charge you to fix something that isn't economic. We'll give you the numbers and let you decide.
Do you work on items already opened by another shop?
Yes. We'll just assess the current state honestly - sometimes prior work makes the repair harder, sometimes it has no impact. We'll tell you which.
